West Gate Ranch is a gorgeous property that represents the very best the Sierra Nevada Foothills has to offer. The region enjoys a rich and mixed history of both a ranching and gold country community. The Spears family owned the original 1,120 acre Spears Ranch (of which this is a part) for about three decades, operating it themselves as a working cattle ranch. The topography is generally rolling Sierra foothills landscape. West Gate Ranch enjoys the upper limits of valley grassland habitats and the lower limits of a pine-dominated elevation.
